MY 8800GTS said "no way Jose" got me down to 9 FPS instantly - back on the 158.

That is strange, we have a core 2 machine with an 8800GTS and we're seeing framerates way up near 60 at times, on MED-HIGH settings. We set the frame limiter to 30. This is a win7 32 bit machine, btw.
However, we run stock FSX on all machines. Do you have any 3rd party scenery or other global addons loaded?

FSX Acceleration!
I actually didn't notice a huge improvement, but I have so much crap installed over my old one that I can honestly say thet the GTS/GTX series do benifit from this driver update!

Honestly though it's all about your FSX settings and I don't mean sliders but the tweaks and stuff, if it wasnt for FSX I'd know nothing about computers! Massive pain. I've had FSX sinse 2007 and still learning somthing new everyday!

. . . . .uninstalled NHancer (never saw any advantage to that over the normal control panel), downloaded and installed the "Inspector" tool. . .uninstalled the current driver, rebooted, ran the new driver, rebooted. . .ran the Inspector, saved the profile. . .rebooted and ran FSX.
First impressions:
No change in FPS but much better clarity in all areas. I think my system is giving all it can as it is so thinking I might see a nice increase in FPS is more wishful thinking really. I'm going to stay with this driver though because of the increased resolution/sharpness.:salute:

System: Q6600 @ 2.4GHz (stock), 4Gb RAM, Nvidia 8800GT (512Mb), Windows 7 (64-bit).
After creating a system restore point, I installed these directly over the previous drivers (in my case, 195.39, which was the most current version when I installed Windows 7 a year ago). Replaced nHancer with with Nvidia Inspector and set it up for FSX using NickN's instructions: http://www.simforums.com/Forums/nhancer-settings-for-new-drivers-updated-v1932_topic36586.html.
I did a short test in FSX; looks good, but it's been more than two weeks since my last flight -- a very busy autumn for me -- so I can't say whether it looks better or smoother than it did before. Certainly no worse than I remember, and it didn't bork my system.
Even if we don't get better framerates, it's possible that we'll get better image quality. According to NickN (same page as above), Nvidia's drivers were tested with FSX RTM/SP1, not Acceleration/SP2, until just a few months ago. So to the degree that Nvidia cares about FSX at all, the more recent drivers should work better with our program.
Of course, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is usually good advice too.

I thought about doing that as well David, but I know in the past I had heard a lot of folks say that you should always uninstall the previous driver first and then install the new one. . .I guess to be sure no remnants of the old were present to possibly foul up the works. It doesn't appear that it caused any problems for you though. . .good show!:salute:
Normally, I would have uninstalled the old drivers first, except that NickN says you don't have to with the most recent drivers (same page I mentioned earlier).
