New NZ Repaint. ATTN: Tim "Piglet" Conrad

Nice work, Sean! :salute:

I've always thought I had anything done by Piglet in my fleet (just love his stuff!), but somehow missed this one yet.
Let's see if there's any way to put a Maple Leaf on it... :d

Are you sure you needed his permission to provide your own repaint?
Quoting his readme file included in the paint kit:
Also,if you want to re-post the plane, or its repaints, on your site, or another site, please ask me first:) I usually say yes, unless my plane been too corrupted or hacked by you or others.
I may be wrong, but I think this proviso isn't meant for repaints done by yourself.

Cheers,
Markus.

Markus, I suppose a closer look at that statement was in order! I just figured that I was better safe than sorry when it comes to messing with other people's work.

I know many others can get surprisingly cranky when you add personalized touches to their creation, and I didn't feel like dealing with a lawsuit. :d

I have a fictional NZ repaint, along with a fictional East German Military repaint ready to go for the Helio, so I think I'll post them here later today. I'm rather proud of my fictional NZ livery if I may say so. It's kind of an homage to the All Blacks rugby team.

Expect to see it in the library as soon as I pack it up.
If Mr. Conrad doesn't want them distributed, luckily the liveries are easy to remove from this system.

Thanks,

-Sean

UPDATE: Both new liveries are up in the SOH Library under "FS2004 Skins". One is a black and white New Zealand livery, and the other is a mostly green East German military livery. Enjoy!

Hi Sean, nice work.

I belive if you will PM Tim (if you haven't aleady) he will respond. He visits the "X" forums mostly now because that's where is work is now. He responded to me very quickly on a recent request of mine that I PM'ed him about.

Cheers,
Duckie

Duckie,

Yes, I PM'ed him previously regarding the ZK-TCE livery at the beginning of this thread, and he promptly replied and exuberantly gave me permission. The ZK-TCE livery, along with the fictional German one, and the fictional New Zealand one, are now in the SOH FS2004 skins collection.

Thank you for this nice livery, Sean!

Had a lot of fun with it on the Milford track:

It's Godfrey Tier's new NZQT Quintin Lodge scenery - just the right aircraft for this surrounding...

Sean, I hope you don't mind my small suggestion:
I allowed to tweak the registration lettering on the starboard side (pic above). Your original letters appeared a little jagged:

I don't know which program you use for your repaints, but adding Antialiasing ("Weich" = "soft" in this case) to the letters leads to smoother edges. In PSP X, it looks like this:

Keep up your good work! :ernae:
Cheers,
Markus.
