Just got my new set of OCZ Reaper 2x2048MB 1066mhz CL5 sticks!
And i just thought i'd say WOW... the improvement is phenomenal!
No more autogen stuttering or stutterting when panning around...
Everything would be perfect if it werent for...
Well i also upgraded my graphics card from a 512mb 9800gtx+ to a 1024mb GTX 280, as a result i cant use the /3GB switch anymore with a Userva=2560 value..... so i cant have a glorious LOD radius of 9.000000 :banghead:

Ah well, i guess you win some and you loose some.

LOL !! My 7600 that I had to fall back on, Stutters so bad, I can take at least two sips of beer between each stutter, just did a minute ago too. Did a Flight from KLAX to KSAN last night dusted off a 12-pack - :isadizzy:

I have dreams of a smooth flight - Someday !!

How about lowering the userva value a bit?
 
The question is though if it will even be worth it.
Because with my current calculations it would only be an additional 286mb if anything.

Well, give it a try anyways. It's not that your PC is going to explode if the setting doesn't work. :d


Other than that, you might need to change your OS. Try XP x64 or Server 2003 x64 or so.
 
Only hope Nvidia comes out with better Beta drivers too. Crysis is an artifacting mess in the current win 7 beta and beta drivers, and in DX10 mode it crashes with the win 7 ntdll.dll.

So yeah, hope RC1 is better lol.
 
Wow 64-bit OS sure increases performance dramaticly.... got new drivers allthough they are still buggy in Win7 lol.
But with the realflight hellcat i got steady 30fps all over Megascenery Hawaii with autogen on dense and scenery detail very dense, plus the 9.000000 LOD radius, no stuttering.
But when i say they are buggy its that when i go into the VC there is no cockpit!, so yeah i think ill stick with XP-32 until Win7 and drivers mature a wee bit more. :icon_lol:
