Kinda reminds me of the fabled F-19 fighter from the late 80's.

no kiddin, smoothie, i agree :applause:

i wonder how the capabilities of our top fighter compares? do we have missiles that can fly backwards? i would really like to learn a little more about this plane. it's very interesting.

i have to admit though, this was my fav part of the whole page:

Ummmm....... I dunno....
Seems they can't decide on a final config. Looks like vidio game ads.
I know Sukhoi has that T-47 and other cool stuff.
That version with the overhead intakes, hope that doesn't cause flameouts at high-alpha.

HUH?
WTF... i dont believe it...
look at the last config with the air intakes wayyyy behind and above the fuselage, how can there be a proper airflow towards the engines when pulling G' s?

I like the "Berkrut" style config tho.

The ones in the youtube vids look different from the picture by the OP? Are these the same airplane?

I believe so, the earlier postings were conjecture about what the finished product might look like and have probably been floating around on the net for a while now. T-50 refers to Sukhoi's internal company designation, whilst PAK-FA is the "requirement" it was designed to meet. I believe the now defunct

Dear Lockheed,

this is how you make stealth look cool.

Sincerely,
someone who thinks your JSF is an affront to the human eye.

Isn't this the one that Russia has already stated they can't afford to field them? (But we'll sell them to anyone interested)

It's not a bad looking plane at all. The intake mouths and ducts do favor the old YF-23 but beyond that it is pure Sukhoi. I wonder what the end product will look like? Right now it seems to have a lot of off the shelf standard non-stealth hardware and engines/nozzles on it. I wonder if those vertical stabs are slab rudders? If not, they seem awfully small. The wing area and horizontal stab blending would seem to be pretty good for high lift and maneuverability from the looks of it. With the cash infusion Russia is getting from India and other sources they ought to turn out a fine product out of this in a few years baring any major delays. I wonder how many they intend to build for themselves and how many might be made for export. I wonder if China will continue with the J-12 or go with this aircraft? Interesting stuff for sure.

There never will be a more beautiful Russki than the Flanker and Sea Flanker - to me.
But this baby looked cool. Su-27 Style with YF/23 Stealth.
