Good Luck

Hi All
The Unicorn and Renown have (mostly) been built on our little laptop, on windows 7 and (now) windows 10.
It can be done, and Allen has made a program to allow GMax models to be converted via DOSbox that works in windows 7 and 10.
Cheers Stuart
PS I must say, I would like my Xp machine back again, but the repair people are still looking for an appropriate motherboard. I have crab claw hands.

Good morning,

Stuart, I understand completely about laptops....I build most of my missions on them, and only test on my desktop because of problems with CFS2 Mission Builder on my desktop.

IIRC, the FS2002 GMax SDK allowed you to use a switch to export a CFS2 model directly. It isn't documented in the SDK but it is there. It was posted here many moons ago and I had it bookmarked, but there has been at least 2 hacks/server breakdowns since then, so the thread is gone. The post was made by Gnoopey on how to do this, wish I'd saved the page!!!

Jamie

PS. Think I found it, FS2002 SDK required IIRC. Then makemdl with a -cf switch applied using model commander. See here, http://www.docmoriarty.com/msfs/en/mdlcommander.html

That works if you building a model using MakeMDL with a X file with command line.

If you have the FS2002 gMax FSModelExp.dle only found on the FS2002 Pro disc you can plug in

[Options]
FS8=0
CFS2=1

into the gmax\gamepacks\fs2002\plugins\makemdl.cfg but this dosen't fix the animations for aircraft.

A new set of ships by Stuart277!

Thank you Stuart277! these are perfect for inshore convoy escort. The U-boats in the Gulf of Mexico had better watch out now!! Greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into these. Thank you again!

Stuart, you do such wonderful work. Have you considered doing the Yorktown Class and Lexington? ? We definitely need an up to date Enterprise, Hornet, and Yorktown as well as Lexington/Saratoga, especially for 1942.
