SOH-CM-2023
Just uploaded new skin for Baldy's FNS Bearn as after re-fit in US 1944.

This skin is based on pictures, drawings that I found on the web.

Coz of lack of my skills of painting, it's not 100% historically accurate. Sorry about it.

Thanks Baldy for ur kind permission for upload.

Miccasharon,

I echo the words of UncleTgt - Very nice work on this! :very_drunk:

Poor painting skills?

Really nice, Miccasharon, and if you call this 'lack of painting skills',

I can't wait to see your next paintwork!

Why, ask Rami our librarian! I am 100% sure he knows!

Another way to do it properly is writing an accurate 'Credit Due' account, listing all of the original author's names and whatever info you can get from their readme files. Then paste it into your own readme instructions, included in your works.

This is what I usually do when I want to re-upload original works, whose authors do not respond to my authorisation requests or their e-mail accounts are no longer valid. My readme files include every name that could have possibly contributed to the new upload, either directly as original designers or indirectly, as, for example, Martin Wright for his DXTbmp utility which allows 'extended' bitmap texture files manipulation.

It takes time writing it yet, so far, I never received any complaint or requests to delete my uploads from SOH library. Once you do the first, you can copy and paste all the names which routinely need to be credited for their original creations, thus reducing writing time.

Cheers!

Miccasharon,

What you would do is find out what their user name is. Most Virtual Navy Ships were done by Captain Tenneal, and if need be I can provide you privately with the listed e-mail addresses of these users for contact. But that would be done via PM, because it is not public knowledge.

Kelticheart's response is also appropriate. You only run into trouble if the user in their readme forbids modifications without their permission.
