New stick what to choose

For the money, you can't beat the CH Products Fighterstick and Pro Throttle combo. They just keep working.

i will try a new one for the new quad processor here..writing to santa klaus if will send me one at christmas

thanks for the quick responses. My brother reminded me that he had a thrustmaster flight stick that also felt realy light. The thing i liked about it is the large throttle control.
i now have a sidewinder (i think its the sidewinder precision) and i would like to have maybe force feedback like the logitech stick. ive tried that one at my brothers pc, but i found the hat switch a bit stiff compared to my current one. i like to do some formation work from time to time and the hat switch is the minimum that sould work without too much difficult.

so im looking for a stick with force feedback, an easy hatswitch and maybe a sepparate throttle control. the throttle thing is just something extra to have. when spending money on something that needs to be replaced its nice that it has an extra feature compared to the old one.

kind regards,

meso

Forget the hatswitch... go with a Tracker IR4. You won't regret it one bit.

I've been using a Cougar HOTAS and Elite rudder pedals by Thrustmaster for several years and love it. Only thing is it doean't have force feedback.

Meso if you flight a lot of stick job aircraft nothing is as sweet to senses as the Saitek Evo Force joystick. I've had mine now going on 5 years and I love it. I have to be able to feel the aircraft to enjoy it, and the good news is that I can use the Saitek pedals without any problem whether or not I disable the rudder function on the stick. I wish somebody would come up with a force feedback yoke and pedals!:jump:

The one I'm interested in is also a Saitek, but doesn't seem to be available yet (at least not through the UK online store):

Both our old Saitek Cyborg 3d sticks are still around, but mine has been wandering more and more off centre, in spite of a good clean and checking for damage/warping so I assume it must be signal related. Mrs. P's stick fell foul of a falling heavy object that destroyed the throttle so we currently have one stick built out of the parts of both! I think the boss's stick is about five years old, mine is closer to eight years old. I've been looking for something to replace it for ages, but loathe the front or rear mounted throttles that seem to be the rage right now.

I'm still using my old Microsoft Sidewinder II force feedback joystick............proven to be indestuctible thus far.:)

Yup! The MSFF2 is indeed the 'Holy Grail' of force feedback sticks! Best feel, force feedback affects and virtually bulletproof. They can occasionally still be found on e-bay for under $100 but the coveted 'Red Button model' will run you as much $300!
