NEW T-6 Texan sounds..on final

Long-Time Enthusiast
Good-morning,
To those of you following this thread , I thought I would update you, offering another piece of the puzzle...

Along with the new texture set that Chris is working on, and my revised flight model, which is specifically formulated for Reno, I have also been creating an all-new, complete soundset for the Pratt & Whitney R-1340 / T-6.

I know some of us are very content with the other fine soundsets that are available...however, I'll bet you give this one a try!

Focusing particularly on the snarl, as heard from the Texans prop at high rpm, I am aiming to replicate the sounds of Racing T-6's as best as possible. Please, it's not too late to critique, or comment... I want this to be good. (Or at least passable?)

Sorry for the low quality video. My vid editing software has just found bunches of conflicts with codecs and plug-ins!

I think it sounds great except... for the transition from the starter sound to the startup sound inside the cockpit. The exterior starter to startup sounds nice, but from the interior there seems to be a long pause between the end of the starter sound and the sound of the engine beginning to fire. Otherwise it sounded great!

Thanks for noticing that. I had it on the list of things to correct.

@Snowbird,

The links seem to be broken for that sound-pack. Is there anywhere else to get it?

Best regards,

Joseph

Hmm... Maybe try .com instead of .ca. Either works for me, but it comes up as .ca in my browser as opposed to the .com link provided with the youtube video.

Guys,

I replaced the sounds with those from the Avia 56 freeware. Awsome start up and flyby for the Texan. Crank up the volume!

So, I've got another tease for the Texan sounds. Enjoy!
