Easily confused.
Israeli Air Force skins for Paul Rebuffat's excellent Spitfire MkIxs...

These are modifications of original skins by Paul Rebuffat for his superb Spitfire MkIXc and MkIXe.

They represent 2 MkIXes of 101 Tajaset in desert cam, and 2 MkIXcs, 1 each from 105 and 107 Tajasets (see readme for descriptions). There is a link at the Paintshop which takes you to the appropriate page here at SOH.

The link for the skins is...........

Hello Pombee

Looking great as always, had a look at the pipeline, I will need to get some tips off you for my new project (FSDS) once I have finished my series of repaints. :wavey:

Very nice work - as always.

Any opposing Egyptian planes in the works too? Wait don't answer that. It would spoil the surprise if there were. :icon_lol:

Thanks for the compliment, Seagull. I'm more than willing to help you with FSDS, although I'm still learning myself.

Captain Kurt,

More surprises to come, for sure.

Cheers,

Hey Bones,

Thanks, my friend. I've had a look at the Il-28, and I've got it up and running in CFS2. I just need to finish the .dp, then ask permission for the conversion.

Cheers,

Great job, PomBee!

:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

The idea of pitting identical aircrafts against each other in CFS2 and see what happens is an interesting one.

All we need now for yet another CFS2 install, is proper Middle East/Israel sceneries to reflect the 1946 Israeli-Egypt conflict and some missions to go with them.........;)

Cheers!

Great, hope at last we will see Operation Musketeer.
But how about the scenery.
I don't think, that there is any airfield of the 50's available for Egypt or Israel.
Is someone working on it?

Best wishes

Pom, thank you man. I got the Il28 but kidney problems have kept me from doing a lot of my hobbies. I was going to try and convert it for personal use(target) but I'll wait on yours. The Mig 15 was also used by the Egyptians and had a very basic paint scheme in the '56 Suez Crisis, be looking for someone to do one of those. All we need now is a Mezek(Czech Bf 109 in Israeli colors):salute:

Klauss, there was a set of Israeli airfilds over at Simviation but they were lost it seems in a crash/hack, I am sure I had them and cannot locate them on my storage, I got them from a CFS2 site in France. They were available on Paul Rebuffet's site but were missing last I checked too.

Thanks, Guys.

I think that Take53084 was looking at scenery, and possibly missions and/or campaigns. I sent him all of the Arab/Israeli conflicts stuff that I'd done including splash, start, free flight and quick combat screens. I'll contact him to see if he's got any further.

Bones,

Sorry to here about the kidney thing, I hope it gets better soon. I'm looking at the Mig-15, as well. I've done some Avia S-199 repaints, but I based them on the AVHistory Bf109g & k as there's no freeware S-199 available at the moment. I looked at doing one myself in FSDS, but it's WAY beyond my capabilities as yet.

Cheers,

PomBee,

Thanks for the update, these are outstanding skins! :salute:

APPLAUSE !!!

I agree - these are MAGNIFICENT paint jobs ! :jump:

I have a question, however - it will help us all if someone has the knowledge.

It will also create several hours of detective work tonight if someone does NOT.

The Vickers Wellington is presented with a DP file requiring external Radar equipment:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vickers Wellington Sub Hunter
[PAYLOAD.0]
; Payload = Guns Only
mount.14=wep_radar_stickleback
mount.15=wep_pby_l_radar
mount.16=wep_pby_r_radar
mount.17=wep_radar_front
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Objects_DP and Scene_DB files are not present in the uploaded file, and there was no reference made to what we should use. Obviously an accidental oversight.

Digging thru my archives, I found that the following fits MOST of the Bill:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PBY_Radar_Antennae.zip by GavinC
wep_pby_i_radar.dp
wep_pby_l_radar.dp
wep_pby_o_radar.dp
wep_pby_r_radar.dp
wep_pby_radome.dp
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does anyone know which of the files listed above replace the parts "Stickleback" and "Radar_Front" ?

Thanks in advance :salute:
