New update today

My major adverse experience has been with bindings for the X56. They often just are ignored or worse, after setting them up they work for a while than I get the new user trophy and have to start over with everything. Many changes are made under the hood and new functional aircraft will be somewhat delayed in arrival as many functionalities are not on a stable playing field.

It IS (Clintonian emphasis) getting better.

While mine has been working well, for the most part, after this last update, my "gamer's UI" (or something like that.) has been stopping immediately on launch. I close the error, and the sim continues to load in the background. So far, it seems to be operating correctly, as far as I can tell, except for the EFB. Nothing I try to enter, as far as aircraft loading,(fuel, passenger weight and number, baggage weight, mass adjustments, etc) get calculated into the flight plan, nor aircraft operation speeds and fuel use, etc. Nor does the flightplan get loaded into avionics. FWI, I am trying to enter info for the Cessna Longitude. This is my first time trying to fly this aircraft, BTW, so I really don't know if this is (for now) normal for this aircraft. My X-56 bindings have carried through the update.
I have been trying to get my Tobii 5 working, even following the videos. Installed Opentrack, and have it working in the program, but it won't link to 2024. None of the default Tobbi settings, and none of the OpenTrack settings work in 2024. I have minimal, very slow and jerky movements in sim, which cause me to get airsick, worse than when using VR.

The things that do work in this sim, I really like, but I am also getting extremely frustrated with the stuff that doesn't.

How about this for an odd problem...

I've never had issues with my controller binding profiles staying assigned to aircraft until just recently with the CAS Piper Cub, and it's not for all of the Cubs, it's just for a couple of my repaint schemes in particular (or "variants", as MSFS 2024 has them). I have yet to figure out why the majority of them are okay, but for a couple I have to reassign my controller profiles every time I go to fly them - I've even installed just one of them at a time, and those particular examples remain problematic even with no other repaints installed.

John, which ones? I have all your paints, so I can try them to see if it happens on my rig. I am at home, so I can try them right away.
If it happens on mine also, is it something in the config?

Hi Don, one of them is "The Fighting Grasshopper" (NC61903), and the other is G-ASPS, while all of the others are just fine. Every time I completely close out of MSFS 2024 and open it again, when I go to fly those two they always have reverted to default controller profiles. I was wondering about differences in the .cfg files too, but I haven't been able to spot any.

John, of course, I flew 3 versions, the default, to check and see what works normally, then NC23438 and Navy ZP32. :) They worked fine. I'll go back in and try NC61903 and G-ASPS. I'm flying them at my local airfield, Marshalltown, Ia. KMIW using default weather as the sim opens. Snow covered. My "GamingServicesUI.exe" is still quitting immediately on hitting start, but the sim opens fine anyway.

I tried the two you wanted checked and did not notice anything different on my settings. I have the screenshot camera and take photo on the two buttons on the knobs on the throttle handle, parking brake on the button just above the mouse control on the throttle handle, and they still work. I couldn't find the mixture control in the aircraft, and my mixture control does not effect the engine. I forget which controller you are using, and what settings are not carrying over, but mine seemed to retain. So maybe it's something in your files. Maybe try downloading them and trying those. I'm sure you are using your original files, so who knows? Hope you find the problem.
