Hi TuFun,

Try a helicopter flight around the Statue of Liberty at dusk, and see the all the tourists and the camera flashes going off.

Very impressed but a bit hard on the fps though.

Yep, I seen the camera flashes. Would be cool if there would be fireworks on the 4th of July.

Well I can't resist a sale, but at least on first try was quite disappointed with the performance.

I am running a Haswell i7 4770k o'clocked to 4.4 Hz with water cooling, SSD drives x 2 with a GTX 780 card and got +/- 15 fps but very choppy AND serious visual disruption from repeated low texture loading.

If this kind of system can't run it (HD for FSX loaded) what can??

Expat, how are the frames from inside the VC? Mine are pretty decent there (Average about 20) and from spot view I get 13-15 with a bit of stutters and texture loading.

Copy that. Better experience from inside the VC, though still some slow to load textures (blue areas on the ground and tall buildings white before textures fill in) and some slide show tendencies. Once you get the scenery to "settle" in a view it is pretty impressive.

b/t/w - how does one attach a screenie so it displays the full image in a post (like Ted's) instead of a thumbnail (like all of mine)?

This was posted back in November about the same problem... using PHOTOBUCKET, as your off site storage..... by Daveroo & 000rick000
