Newer ship effects

Some ship effects have been change in ships to get more smoke and fires.This the JMK_Hiryu using them.Notice there are 4 fires,before there were 1 or 2.

Some other ships have been done also with good results.

My so said he just put in some different effects in the dp file.Sometimes it works well sometimes not.Different ships need different effects depending who made them.

Tell your son he's doing a great job, I'm looking forward to his update on the PH BB damage effects...But also the new fire effects look good, great what is done for this old game

The old PHP BB's where done years ago by Talon and used in the PHP.No one was able to improve them and people tried.I remember reading the posts about it.

The new ones by Stuart have some other effects put in by my son and burn a little better now but it's still a WIP.

ElsnerMarkus why don't you give it try?See what you can do.My son is only 13 going on 14 and has other things he also likes to do.Plus we are on vacation in Europe until the end of July.Guess what Country we are at.

Hello Hiede, to answer your question:

I personally have also had several approaches here to create a new effect for smoke or fire.

Unfortunately I don't have the time for it, because I have too little time for myself between work (I'm a department manager in a supermarket), girlfriend and soon moving, and I'm also part of 2 larger modding teams.

Unfortunately, I always want to do a lot, but then some things fall by the wayside. I have been planning to replace the CFS 2 vanilla campaign with newer models of airplanes and ships for a while now, but as I said, it is planned, but when I can realize it, I don't know yet, because I simply don't have the time at the moment.

So unfortunately I can only be happy about the work and improvements of others.

By the way, I think your son's work is great, my utmost respect.
I wish you lots of fun on your vacation/trip in Europe.

Everyone has work and other things to do.My son has school and still finds time to do things,Captain Kurt works and travels but look at all he has given us lately.

As for the vanilla stock campaigns,there's about 150 missions for each.The USN one Talon did over 12 years ago.He actually put in Task Forces for the carrier missions.They do need to be updated to today's standards but they will be when my son has time.
