News from Alphasim!

The HU-16 Albatross is listed but without a price . AlphaSim Site lists it at around $30 USD . Is it to be included on the price reduction list ? I may have to dust the old plastic card off . One of my favorite amphibs . I have had Gregg Pepper's for years and ported over in FSX also but an FSX HU-16B is really tempting .

I see it on that list at $29.95.
Think the Alphasim shop is still doing the exchange rate, which is why its listed at $0.06 cents difference, $30.01
 
Hmmm, there are a few interesting helicopters on that list that I always found too expensive like the Black Hawk, Black Shark and Sea Sprite.. Might be a good time to finally pick up the Liberator too though!

Just my opinion, but half of the aircraft on that list should be about half that price. Just because they were overpriced when they were first released doesn't mean they are now a great value with a few dollars removed off the total.
 
Any opinions on their Tornado F3, B24 and He111? I believe the B24 is quite popular on here, but I've never seen anything on the other two.

I'm leaning towards adding the F3 and the Sea King to the collection soon.
 
I have the He111 in FS9. It is a pretty good aircraft. Several paints avail. There is also a updated FD file.

Some nice repaints available as well. I do Northern QRA out of Leuchars quite often with that bird.

The update was for FS9. I found it on the old Alpha forums. I believe it comes with the package now. Have not tried the 111 in FSX yet.

Thanks, it seems a little under powered, but that was on my first flight before reading the manual. Will have more time this weekend to try it again.

As I recall the 111 is a bit of a pig to fly, getting off the ground and staying airborne was a real pain. Let me know if you need some assistance in tweaking the power and flight model. I have mine flying beautifully in FSX...
