SOH-CM-2025
I felt it was time I started doing some paints for one of the best models around, Mathias' Butcher Birds.
Here are a few very early WiP shots of my first attempt:

still lots and lots to do, but I'll keep you posted, OK?

Mathias' Butcher Bird is such an outstanding production i need to jump in to one once in a while to remind myself how good it can be, there is a crispness to the VC that could almost be classified as his style , been following his work for a long time now beginning with Netwings and as far as i am concerned Mathias wrote the book on modelling gauges , thanks for the repaints Jan Kees , it’s great to see more of this aircraft on the forum.

Bought it this morning, at least the late series... When I saw you were painting it, Jan and Huub, I knew I could resist the temptation no longer. Beautiful work!

I have the Classics Hangar birds but hadn't reinstalled them yet after a new competer build...it's time now for sure. Jankees' paints on such a great plane is a real treat!

I think I have the white all connected properly now, and have added the black patches, so unless you spot any errors, I can start ageing this bird...

Damn good Jan Kees, given the time period and environment in which these greenhearts operated in this livery I think you can go all out on your 'dirty girl' looks :ernae:
