Night flying

anyone know if there is some kai tak scenery available (freeware of course) for fsx or even fs9? that would be fun to play around with

Yeah. Search Avsim.

That pilot is an idiot. What a ridiculously long flare.

And... WHY???? do they have to come in through pattern 'in' that valley?? Why not come in over that mountain in the background? Why?

To keep the sinkrates relatively low.

You could maybe do that mountain thing in a Dash 7 or 8, but in a 737 or 757? No way.

fsx atc calls you in wayyyy different than the video

FSX ATC is idiotic.

Surround an airport with hills and you're gonna get one hell of a scary approach. They're always keeping you so high that you don't even stand the slightest chance of getting onto the runway in one piece witin that five mile final.

ATC has always been a weak spot with the MS Flight Sim series.
Yep, I started out with Pro-Pilot, and as far back as that goes, the ATC engine was far more realistic and intuitive that anything that MS has ever offered. I've never understood how one sim could be so far advanced in that area and another be so poorly done.

That's where add-ons come in.

I found Radar Contact 4 a sound investment.

i did, and there was nothing for either fsx or fs9 to be found by their search engines.

Try "9Dragons". Don't know if this scenery will work well in FSX though.
