NL2000 v4.01 available

Installed the whole bunch (had to make room big time),but......WOW!

Looks great so far (Volkel AB). Gonna test-fly a round across the Netherlands to see what other eyecandy is there (and how it is holding up regarding FPS).

Edit: the scenery is quite heavy regarding FPS, though only tested flying the Nemeth UH-1H. Scenery settings are set at very dense. Got 2 x 1GB 8800 GT in SLI config, dual core 3Ghz, 8Gb memory, Vista 64bit machine.

Here is the chopper over Volkel AB (scenery gives you a rather good impression of what some area's at the airbase look like. People familiar with the place will certainly recognize the place).

I'm tempted, but don't want FSX to come to a screeching halt fps wise. Does this have much effect on fps. Is it at all compatable with Aerosoft sceneries in the area i.e Schipol and Brussels (not NL I know but close-ish)

I have the full NL2000v4 scenery and Aerosoft's LelystadX and I can't tell where they blend together at all. Schiphol is not yet released for NL2000 (As are Deelen, Terlet and Gilze-Rijen). The good thing about the FsX version is that you can install only parts if you like. If you only want certain fields it is possible!

René, did you manage to find your own home?
One of my favourite short flights is to take off from Lelystad and follow the road I usually take when I drive there until I arrive over my house.

Ferry, Gilze-Rijen is included in this update. I haven't checked it yet as I just installed it. But it's great to have all the military airfields included now (except for Deelen).

Here are some more chopper mug-shots with the NL2K_V4.01 scenery in the background.

De Kooi, and Leeuwarden AB, 323 and 322 Squadron locations........

(Yes, i know....it is cauliflower, tulips and wooden shoes "hey!, the world is on fire but what the heck, let's cut back our defense budget. Uncle Sam will come to the rescue anyway" Holland, but it still is a nice representation of defense-assets our "leaders" did not dump yet).

Guess i look stupid being proud of nice scenery resembling one of two F-16 airbases left in our country, hey.....

Well at least with this scenery we can not only enjoy how it currently is, but also how it used to be, with Twente, Valkenburg and Soesterberg still active!

Some shots I made yesterday; flying with the SKHV Harvard out of Gilze-Rijen:

Over Eindhoven; first the military side with our KDC-10, C-130 and F-50's:

And the civil side:

Picked up this purely fictional Osprey at Volkel:
