Congrats Neil! I remember watching you blast off ... I even had Mom by me a set of sheets, pillow cases and blankets depicting the space race!

One of my heroes and one I have met and chit-chatted with too. A totally humble man, unlike a certain pilot who broke the sound barrier, whom I have met too. Despite all of his accomplishments, Neil Armstrong once said his favorite form of flying was low level and slow in his Aeronca Champ, a man after my own heart. Happy Birthday Neil, a high point in my life was meeting and talking to you about aviation in general.

No offense Mr. Armstrong, and happy birthday.

But I agree.
I would have rather been on the trip with the "All Navy" crew, as well.
They had a lot of fun.
"That's All There Is" is probably my favorite episode in "From The Earth To The Moon" miniseries.

And funnily enough, the one about Apollo 11 was the least interesting one. Too much drama about, well, nothing much. Armstrong was the commander, so he takes the first step and done.


- Edit: Nonetheless, Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins did their job and they did it well. Just as well as the others who took to space.
