No canopy glass in FSX

G'day all

I've recently downloaded A.F. Scrub's FS 2004/FSX update of brunosk's Spitfire Vb (Trop) to use with FSX, and have a bit of a problem- the canopy glass isn't showing up! I also downloaded one of Sopwith Chameleons skinpacks to see if this fixed it, but to no avail (although the actual textures look great!). This is the only problem I seem to be having with it, everything else works fine. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I've seen other people talking about completely black glass in FSX and the like, but can't seem to find an answer to my problem.

I'm a bit of a newbie to this whole modding thing too, so if this has come up a thousand times before - please be kind!
Thanks

Hi,,And welcome...

Most time that has to do with what Service pack you have installed into FSX..

Are you running SP2 Or Acceleration ?

The planes may be not made for a caetain SP.

Or it can have to do with are you running DX10 Preview or not.

Hope this helps

actually it is a cfs2 aircraft
i am working to update it to fs9
fsx is another step and it may not be possible

it might be your computer specs. my computer is rather low-end, and as a result, none of the default aircraft have visible glass. the only planes i have that show the glass are the add-ons that i have.

I think it might be there, but is so transparent that it appears invisible. (Thats my guess).

If you are running FSX in DX10 mode, try turning back to DX9 mode.

Harleyman's solution worked a treat- I installed SP2 and now it works fine in FSX, looks great!
Thanks to all for their advice
