No iPhones, iPods at Bill Gates's house

I think I read somewhere that Apple sold something like 7 million iPods and 3.5 million iPhones in the last quarter alone, if my memory is correct.

Just from selling those little things, they are doing quite well.

Their laptop sales are over the roof as well.

Not to mention, their newest OS, Mac OSX Leopard is also doing quite well. Very fast, crisp, filled with tons of shortcuts and animations.

Apple has a complete wireless system for homes. You can by an Apple WiFi (basic little model), about the price of a modem, and that will transmit to all Macs and iPods and iPhones in your residence, interchanging and updating all info, files, calendars, emails, etc.. Its so darn worked out and smooth, that it has the ability to control all iTunes sound system programs in all parts of the house including Apple TV systems via your iPod (acts as a remote through a freeware App program).

That Windows is going down this same path (finally) doesnt amaze me...

What Apple also have is this cool little thing called 'AirPort'. Its a WiFi base station 'and' a HD, about 500 gigs I believe, not sure. It talks with and synchs your devices backing up their hard drives as 'images' so if you lose your laptop, you can replace its data. All done wirelessly. The in-computer program that auto-backs up all data is called 'Time Machine' (another cool security feature for your data that all new apples come with).

You guys are lucky!

My Blackberry is my ball & chain :banghead:

Yep my "Crackberry" Curve is my addiction :help:.

The article itself was not surprising, and as Panther pointed MS products are probably not allowed in the Jobs residence either. I just thought that it was funny that someone thought that was news worthy. I guess it was just an "apple disciple" taking a shot at MS. :173go1:
