and its a good thing....Hurricane Celia in the East Pacific is a categroy 4 hurricane...
 
she's now a category 5....expected to rapidly weaken by tomorrow at this time...however category 5 hurricanes are very rare for this time of year..hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come...note also Hurricane Darby (a category 1 hurricane) directly to the east...
 
There is a Tropical Depression close to Jamaica and The Caymans now. If you want to get a little weather flying in jump to Roberts MWCR. But don't use default weather. It reports clear skys and calm winds. Use FSMeteo or something else.

Sorry to take the wind out of your gloom and doom sails but.........

Most of the volatile chemicals weather off of the oil within 24 hours ( the chemicals that readily burn....IE benzine, & naphthalene). Except for the oil immediately around the well, the rest is a mix of weathered oil and salt water and does not burn easily. The tar balls will not burn either, it takes more energy than they can produce to keep them burning.

A hurricane could hurt OR HELP the oil spill situation, depending on a myriad of factors.
