Noob question, which squadrons are the "top guns"

Not having played a ww1 sim since the original Red Baron, and knowing too much about ww1 squadrons, is there anyone who can tell me for each of the 4 sides which fighter squadron was elite and as such first to get new planes?

Basicly i want to know what the easiest squadrons are to take my campaign baby steps with, getting the newest planes as soon as they are available.

Seeing the fact that i dont even know for sure which planes are the best I dont know what to look for in the list of plane types for each squadron etc.

A bit of a vague question I'm sorry

Thanks for help :) :help:

Good starts RFC 56 (but advance campaign if it's in England or it will be a bit quiet :) ) or Jasta11 J7 J2 I think

You can go through the create a pilot routine and see all the squadrons. You can see when they get new planes and what their morale and flight skill are {changes with time}.

Jasta 5 was the third most succesful Jasta if my memory of stuff I read ten years ago serves me. Jastas 11 and 2 would be the other top dogs.

Yeah, but Jasta 12 was also good, and several others! Just look, when you create a new pilot: try out different years and months - some Squads or Jastas get better later. And the menue shows (very good!) which planes they will get throughout the war, were they are in that month, and their overall quality (average - good - elite).
It's really fun to go through all this, and very informative!
