Normandy Scenery

Hi again,

I have been doing some mission building while away from the basement for a time.

I have some D Day stuff, but no really good Normandy scenery available to actually do it up right.

I have searched the web and SOH library and come up empty.

There is apparently NO CFS2 Normandy scenery built.

Is that area that difficult to make?

I ask because I am NOT a scenery guy. I have tried and failed miserably.

Do we still have some scenery guru somewhere that has the talent and interest in making some beaches along the Normandy coast line?

If someone will make the beaches and cliffs, I will put the German infrastructure there and save the layouts.

Lee,

You might need new landclass for the area, that's for sure. However, you can use the Atlantic Wall scenery objects as a starting point. Seeing as how the 20th Fighter Group, not to mention other campaigns, is within that general area, I have a vested interest in helping you if you'd like.

Someone a couple of years back sent me a GSL file with fortifications using the Atlantic Wall objects from just southeast of Azzeville over toward Caen and beyond. However, I appear to have to have lost these GSL files.

In order to make this work, you'd need an expanded beachhead, and you'd need the combat engineers for that one. :salute:

I am wondering if some of the FS9 or FSX Normandy scenery can be adapted. CFS2, as you know, is green to the water with not even a foot of sand.

Any ideas for making some sand on the beaches?

Would flattens work?
