Northern Air Cargo 737 (Tinmouse)

A great big THANKS!!

Thanks for the Nordair repaint of the Tinmouse 737-200.... Really great job Sir.

Take care.

Ed

Hi,

Just installed the new nice texture (Nordair) and this work fine .. thank you
I have a question .. and will ask to you as you are a prolific repainter
Wonder from ages ...
Why in the texture folder .. many repainters let behind a useless file Thumbs.db ? who is useless (afaik) for the users ...
Deleting Thumbs.db is my first work when I install a new repaint ... :)

Thanks to Wild Bill and PeteHam. I had not realized that tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip was a complete, stand-alone version, thus rendering the missing updates unnecessary.

Hi, Claudius!

To be honest:
In most cases, I just forget to delete it prior to zipping the texture files.

But let's face it:
A 9KB sized file won't hurt too much in a 4 MB download, eh?

I'll try to spare it for the next upload but can't guarantee for the after next one...

Cheers,
Markus.

Well, Markus, now you've gone and done it! Your NAC paint forced me to download this tube-liner and you made it WAY too convenient by posting the link right here! The very audacity of expanding horizons and convenience all in one place!

Now what in the world am I going to do with a B-737 when the "B" doesn't indicate "BOMBER"?

I guess I'll just have to fly it out of one of those Great Northern gravel pits to see if there is in any fun in that! :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Another job well done. Thanks for all you do for our hobby. :applause: :applause: :applause:

A scenery suggestion for those who want to thrill of gravel dirt landings and take offs. Try
Pete & Sid's Viva Scenery Vol 1-4.This treasure is found at Flightsim.com. Welcome to my backyard and please dont feed the polar bears:icon_lol: they prefer GA aircraft.

Hi, Duckie!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm deeply affected and glad you're having fun. :wavey:

The very audacity of expanding horizons and convenience all in one place!
That's what flightsimming is all about, isn't it?
Otherwise, we all would still be practicing landing patterns around Meigs in our worn-out C172...

@ Tim:
Good point on Pete's and Sid's excellent collection - although I can't believe anybody is missing this must-have.

Cheers,
Markus.

A trivia note for the gravel kit planes with thenose "ski".... Max Gear Speed is 180 knts. Friend of mine runs the NAC 737 freighters. A flash back to a job of mine from years ago.

Good point on the VLE, mate!
I think a sticker at the ASI as a reminder would be a good idea to avoid the ski flying off the plane! :bump:
(Wifey has such a sticker in her car, due to the winter tires mounted...)

We call the "stickers" placards. In fact there was/is a placard as to the max gear airspeed, placed near the gear handle.

Great video, mate! :applause:
Thanks for sharing!

One day, when I'm finished with repainting it, I should learn to make the Tinmouse touch down as gently as you can... :wiggle:

Cheers,
Markus.
