i remember reading somewhere that the dash 8's landing gear was extremely susceptable to corrosion, and it could sometimes cause failure. i wonder if that is what happened here?

I thought it looked funny when they flew overhead here yesterday morning. We were out getting the Mig-21 ready to fly. No nose gear deployed will do that. Just glad everyone was ok.
