The first pic is the panel with gun sight incorporated
The second is the panel without the gun sight
and the third I the gun sight that can be added as a pop-up... "now you see it-now you don't"

They all have pure black backgrounds... these are pics that show how it will appear in the sim...

As to the VC... and the pic measurements... etc. I'll work on that next...

Thanks for the tip. I just copied over the contact points from Scrubby's aircraft.cfg file. :black_eyed:

I did start to try to adjust them, but started to get the aircraft floating slowly up & down in & out of the runway surface as I watched it in spot view - one minute the wheels were slightly off the runway, next minute the mains were sunken, but the tailwheel not quite touching, you get the picture. In the end I gave up & left them as is... it's a combat sim after all :02.47-tranquillity:

This way, the bird looks "normal" when landed, and behaves good on take-off and landing

P43 Lancer panel uploaded

Upon Gaucho-59's approval, I am glad to upload this P-43 Lancer's panel at SOH library

This is Gaucho_59's CFS2 "P-43A-1 Lancer" panel (reworked from nternet researchs and an original "hard" drawing made by myself)
Gaucho_59 added a more coherent look,corrected various perspective errors, improved the painting and added details based on a rare photo showing the panel of the real bird.


The 2D panel is done to fit the VC view of the bird


I made the panel config file so as to keep the "gaucho's original" look of the 2D panel, and reworked his original VC panel to fit better the internal VC view.
Unfortunably, it was impossible to suppress the sight in the VC view : this is a matter of MDL tweaking far beyond my knowledge... May be a MDL guru can do that....)

Concerning the sight in the VC view, I mean removing the mdl materiel that places the sight in the midle of the VC panel view, not removing the reticule wich is one of the textures files of the bird

It is why I said it is a job for a "mdl" guru !

Ahhh, ok. I understand now.

Maybe this is possible. Cancelling out materials sometimes has drawbacks. It depends on the author design sequence, drawing order.

When more time is available, possibly this weekend, I'll take a shot at it and see if there are any side effects.
