Now I'm having trouble getting into 2020

Seems like we were all suffering in silence. After my aborted attempt to use 2024 I went back to 2020 then after using it fine for 2 days got the "Checking for updates loop"....tried everything and spent hours researching the problem before finally bailing out and doing another clean install. The good news was that it cured the nosewheel steering problem I had with the MILVIZ T-6A....
Working in IT as I do, I know that reinstalling is the M$ way. But COME ON, it shouldn't be this way.

I will only reinstall 2024 when they get their "stuff" together. I could live with 2024 being a pain, but it interfering with the only sim that I have that is working the way it should kills me.

So, what is P3D v6 all about? Any good?

I've stuck with P3DV5.3. I prefer the lighting to v6 on my rig. And I can tinker with and paint old stuff. Won't touch 24 for a year or so if at all. Reading all this I feel a bit smug....!

But you'll never get the visual quality that MSFS offers. Sorry to say so.

Fun fact: I was having the same issues the whole day long. I uninstalled 2024, cleaned my rig of the remnants of 2024, rebooted, and everything was working again.

I don't mind the issues they're having with 2024 as long as I can get into 2020 to actually do some flying.

Mate - I wish I had logged on here on Saturday and seen this...!

I wish I wouldn't have to experience this. All in all, 2024 has been a hugely disappointing experince!

Oh well, 2020 is working just fine and at least it doesn't look as cartoonish as P3D/FSX.
