NTDLL error

SOH-CM-2025
Can anyone debug this event viewer log?
I'm getting random CTD; tried removing all add-on scenery etc but happens even with a basic install.
Running Windows 7 btw.

"Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll"

If your install of FS9 resides in the System 32 Folder... there is a possibility, that could be the problem. Maybe not, I'm not 100% but I have read and heard from many in the FS9 Community that putting FS9 in a separate location on the HD is the safest bet.

I have had mine installed as: "C:\FS GAMES\Flight Simulator 9" on both my machines for over 2 years now... no issues.

My slower system: Win 7/64/SP1, 8GB memory, AMD Quad 4/3.2GB, Ati 7200 Video/1GB.

Thanks BB, but
Faulting application path: G:\Flight Simulator 9\fs9.exe
I've had fs9 stashed on separate HD for some time. Its only recently started happening, past 3 months or so,
as the NTDLL is part of win7 I'm wondering if Microsoft have messed it up with an update. :running:

Makes no dif where the prog is installed. Mine is in the default folder, & my User Account settings to 'Never Notify'.

No problems in 4 years... ever, with FS9, FSX & P3D all installed in 'Program Files'

I'm wondering if Microsoft have messed it up with an update. :running:

That could be. To me, putting the sim in its own location on the HD would keep it out of the crosshairs of those updates, especially the "Security Updates for WIN7". I did see this: Faulting application path: G:\Flight Simulator 9\fs9.exe so I was a bit hasty in my earlier prognosis. The codes given don't look like Direct X errors to me, so I wouldn't consider the video card or video card updates... Just to be sure I would run the DXDIAG tool and verify everything is OK... go from there.
