O/T Lancaster Skies Movie

Well, IMHO, not fantastic! The only Lanc action is the first 5 minutes and then nothing until 1 hr. 15 minutes until the end. The rest is a lot of pub scenes! All Lancs flying close together as if they were pre BoB fighters!

1955's "The Dam Busters" was a great flick using them. Black and White but still an excellent story.

I found 'Lancaster Skies' free on some streaming service. Extremely disappointing. Underwhelming in just about every way. For one thing it desperately needed a Foley Artist. The whole thing is so quiet in the extreme that it feel like a rough cut of a film. There's no background life at the pub, the station, or anywhere. Add that to the extremely underplayed performances, and it's just ho hum start to finish. Also, as already pointed out, for something supposed to being paying homage to the crews of Bomber Command, they didn't even bother to find out how they operated, showing them flying in tight formation at night.
