O/T Sad news - Susannah York has died

Pat Pattle

SOH-CM-2025
Just found out that Susannah York has died of cancer at the age of 72.

For anyone that may not know she was the very pretty blonde WAAF in the Battle of Britain movie.

For those of us of a certain age she was an object of desire!
Thankyou Susannah. Rest in peace.

I'm with you there Clive. Whilst there were certainly more beuatiful actresses, Susannah had a great sexual charisma. My first memory of her was in the "Sands of the Kalahari" and "The Shout".

Yes, speaking as someone whose awareness of women developed a long time ago, I admit I did find her more than just a little attractive. More importantly, she was a first-class actress as well.

My thoughts exactly. I have the BoB on DVD and regularly watch it again and she still raises my heart rate in that movie.
