O/T What are These Biplanes?

Hi David, they're both De-Havilands, the twin engine looks like a DH84 Dragon, the other is a variation of Moth, maybe a Fox or Puss-moth?

Would like to have seen them myself!

Thanks, guys. There is a fair bit of warbirds activity in NZ at the moment. The mosquito has just been fairwelled from NZ shores (for ever probably) at the Masterton airshow. But I think there is something on this weekend in Auckland, so these planes were probably out for a spin in preparation for a massed formation (hopefully) during the Auckland warbirds event.

The photos I took are far less compressed than these attachments, it was a tough assignment but it sounds like you've got them sorted, Clive! :applause:
Perhaps if I actually looked up the Auckland event online I could find a list of planes.

I see online that there are numerous De Havillands in Nz - a couple of De Havilland DH-83c FOX MOTHs, and some DH Devons. No doubt others as well.

Thanks, NSS! Right at the end of the Youtube clip, it looks like the other DeHavilland I saw is parked beside the airstrip! :medals:

By the way, that is an incredibly scenic part of the West Coast of the South Island in the background of the clip.

Great clip Kev, thanks for sharing that one. It's very similar to the Tiggie, I can see another version of that coming on.

Would love a trip in one, how cosy does that look!
