Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Have no red (shows as black) anywhere, windows xp, fsx, etc.
Restored back a couple days and same thing.
Puzzling thing is when I push buttons on monitor setup, the red shows fine for calibration.
Have resinstalled the Nvidia drver I have been using, no red.
Scanned for viruses, nothing showed up.
Odd.

Thought about that, could be.
Might be one of those bad things happen in threes.
My TV does not accept any remote control input (new or my old remote) after storm a few
days ago.
Maybe things got fried.
Guess it's time to check with the computer shop.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop.

So basically, the monitor, when not being driven by the computer, allows the color "red" to be displayed, but when the video card attempts to render that color, it shows up as black?

Sounds like the video card might have a problem and an odd one at that.

One more thing to try, monitors also have drivers, make sure it is up to date and not corrupted.
