• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

What the hell???? An imaginary flight with imaginary names about a country that probably doesn't even have a few hundred of its citizens Flying in FSX let alone the odds of having an Iranian on this forum is slim to none, let alone an Irainian having any reason to be offended by the imaginary flight.

Political correctness is the crutch of the weak minded (which I guess isnt very PC to say) & the mechanism for societies destruction.:angryfir:
 
I couln't agree with you more Major!! Some people around here just seem to think their political opinion is more valueable than most! When most of us could careless and don't want to hear it.

PS Boomer: PC types demand you have an open mind.......as long as you agree with them. Anything else and you're labeled a bigget or racist......so much for open mindedness! LOL
 
kinda reminds me of when i was quoting achmed the dead terrorist (jeff dunham) at school and two muslim chicks filed for harassment that took forever to straiten out! :banghead:
 
Hi Guys.....since I don't one anyone to get heated up for a " Fictitious Mission in Iran which I made up last night, I'll kill it---But.....I must say this:---- We are all "political Beings" no matter where we are, our color, our habits, or th governments that we have. Humans have made mistakes and great things always'--that is History and Today---Most do not know history or care that is why humans commit the same acts either good or bad every century.....some like to place their hand over the sun and hope it will go away, those are the ones who cause more problems than solutions......Ok, this is not a political Forum so I will stop here just finishing with this thought---Everyday of your life if you live in a Free Society, Thank God, thank him kindly not only for your luck but for your loved ones of today and the future, For there are many, too many that everyday of their lives Beg God for the Freedom they don't have........

Here is my question, how come it is ok for certain people to say whatever but not the others. I am so tired of the "political correctness" I can't even stand it. Growing up if we got our feelings hurt you had to just get over it and move on.

now I wasn't talking about racism, I am a native american of the Choctaw nation. I was simply stating that it seems that some people are expected to follow the "correctness" rules and others don't think that they have to and when they don't its ok according to the media. However it the "certain" people don't follow the rules it's all over the TV and they just cant believe how awful that person is. It's all crap
 
The fictional flight to me was the equivolent of a fictional Clancy novel where fictional people were trying to overthrow a government or something. I could not picture a person protesting a book store over carrying a fictional book like that because they were " offended " being taken serious anywhere, so why is it taken serious here?

I have said my peace now and maybe this thread should be closed now since I think the point has been made that many here find it insulting/strange/offensive.

Black people can make fun of how genearally white people are more well off money and education wise, yet it can't go the other way around, because then the person is being racist. Next thing you know you've got the NAACP and Reverend whoever on your tail.

For my part, I am offended that a simple and straight-forward action by the mods, which I feel was handled very reasonably and properly, is suddenly an issue and is making people angry.
In short, I am far, FAR more annoyed by the existence of THIS topic than by the closing of the other topic.
 
I agree that political correctness sucks big time, because really it is politics with a hidden agenda. Unfortunately our kids are having it stuffed down their throats from Kindergarten on to college graduation...BUT

This forum is about our hobby which we all agree we really like. In case no one knew, I am a right wing Republican, Evangelical Christian, (how's that for a fight starter Hehehe), but on this forum my thoughts about politics and religion have no place...Period. There is a time and PLACE for all of that but not in here.

We are European, American(South-North), Canadian, African, Hispanic, Russian and God knows how many countries represented in here. In here we walk on eggshells, but it's OK because we do it for each other. We can fight at Canelos or some other forum, so instead of being offended or causing offense think carefully about what you are saying and doing at least in here.

It's easy, just remember, in here we are a brotherhood with a common cause, we all love our flightsims.
