There's a addon program that provides additional tweaks to the settings, and I cannot remember the name of it.

If it's an NVidia card, maybe NHancer?

If so, check out Nick Needham's FSX setup tips in this thread.

If you're using an ATI card, then apologies - none of this is any use to you, and neither am I. But maybe others will chime in.
