Instantly feels like summer.
Love the "70's game show" sounding keyboard and vibe solo.
Classic!

That song got so much radio play time when it was popular, I got sick of hearing it. Still affects me the same way.

Well, if Afternoon Delight got to you that much :icon_lol:, how about the song the Danoffs (Starland Vocal Band) co-wrote in 1971...

Thanks for the memory. I love that song!

How about this one? Excuse the poor video. But the audio is ok.....

These songs had a big impact on me in High School, they were so saccharine and conformist that I got into punk rock in a big way.

I do have to admit however that "Frampton Comes Alive" was one of the best make out albums ever made.

Charlie! What's happenin', shipmate?

A side note. I chauffeured for Frampton once, back in the late 70s.... Nice guy.

Not much, enjoying flight simming, breaking in a new cat and working. That and teaching my grand kids the difference between good music and the tripe that's created for the lowest common denominator.

Oh, nowadays that is a LARGE amount to contend with. I know better than to cite examples, for fear of quick retribution...... but suffice it to say, Charlie, I DO know what you mean.

Believe me, being a musician who grew up in the late 60's - early 70's with an older brother playing in the best band around, I know what both of you mean.
Funny thing is, when the 80's rolled around, I thought that most of what was coming out was crap. Now looking back and comparing what's out now, some of that 80's stuff sounds pretty good. Now, do I think that'll happen again to me in the future with today's music...NO!
But, I also must say that there is still good music coming out today. You (we) just have to look harder for it. But the days of all those classic bands that were all out at the same time is over. Sad.
