Hey guys,

I'm working with The Bookie and Kdriver on some Pacific stuff, and so I figured since I was here, I'd dust off both my Asia and Pacific installs to update them. I just installed the Andaman and Nicobar islands package for my Asia (CBI) install.

Nice work, John! :triumphant:

Hi,

The Bookie was nice enough to keep and then get permission from Hiede to send along for uploading three new GSL harbors that Talon did before he passed...Manila Bay, Dutch Harbor, and Formosa.

There is a beta package ready, but it's my understanding that Talon designed Rabaul to work with the original stock scenery, not with the UncleTgt's New Britain scenery package. The goal here is to have a single upload package that combines all of his ports.

Has anyone reworked the Rabaul scenery to cooperate with New Britain? Otherwise, that's my next step this evening. :very_drunk:

Andrew,

Thanks for the praise re. Andamans. It was an early effort, & now I would do it differently, more like The Carolines, New Britain & New Ireland sceneries.

As an area it has some interesting possibilities...

R. Rabaul, I dug back through Talons old thread about gsl ports because I'm sure he did it to complement/ replace my gsl.

Here is a link to the relevant post http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...ia-and-Pacific&p=743540&viewfull=1#post743540

Can't say I've ever loaded it, my own preference is for sparse, wooden piers & small craneage in the CBI/PTO - I don't think there were very many concrete pier facilities out there at all during the 1940's. Somewhat different now of course...

Good evening,

The Carolines and New Britain are both done, now I just have to get the Marianas up to speed. :biggrin-new:

But that's a job for tomorrow. :untroubled:

Having known Al (Talon) for many years I was a tester for him and have a lot of the things he worked on.I've been sending some things he did to Rami so it won't be lost.Al used maps, drawings and pics whn doing GSL.For missions he always did a lot of research and had more knowledge of the PTO then most.He also had extensive knowledge of the ETO and the Med but did that work for CFS3 ETO and MAW.

As I find more of his work I will have it uploaded. I won't be able to upload any of his Korea work out of respect of his wishes that he wouldn't upload any more Korean work.

Here's a few pics of Colombo from his work on The Nagumo Raids. The pic quality isn't as good as I'd like because I haven't found the right setting for my new video card yet. He also did Ambo.

The Bookie,

Please send away. :adoration:

P.S. - My Pacific install is looking better and better! :triumphant:

I should be able to finish the Marianas installation this evening.
