Ol' Starbuck....

BTW, I miss the old "Midnight Special".
Was fun seeing Starbuck on that.
Used to stay up late and watch it when I could as a kid.
So many great performances.
Hate infomercials, but must admit I've been tempted by the Midnight Special one a couple times.

Not to hijack the "Starbucks" theme, but that photo really brings back memories of high school buddies, a 57 Chevrolet with fins, a 64 Ford Galaxy and cruising up and down Colfax in the mid to late 60s. Gas didn't cost much (check out the prices on the right side of the photo) and stops for snacks, beer and hamburgers were all in an evening's festivities. Teens came from miles away to drive that strip. If you were from Grand Junction, Pueblo, Colorado Springs or elsewhere, you probably had a trip or two down that drag.

I was back in Denver in 2000 for a reunion of a former army unit and I hardly recognized the place. Someday I'll get back and drive it once again just for the memories.

Staying with the "Starbuck" music genre of the OP and continuing the "cruising" sidetrack, that music and photo bring back memories of the 1973 film "American Graffiti."

While they were driving up and down some strip in California, the atmosphere was similar and the music, while a bit earlier than the OP, was GREAT.

The best thing about that was the drummer, he was really getting into it and dig his crazy bouffant.
