ive found out the power supply and socket type..

and a socket 775 quad core,,

says it can take up to a 3.8ghz processor,,,BUT how do i type in a search for such an animal?...ive typed numerous things and i keep gettin crap...dont know if its my browser?..or me...but im not seeing what id like...

You need to find out what type of motherboard you have, to see just what CPU it will support. It might require a bios update to allow more a powerful/modern CPU.

Not all 775 socket motherboards are the same, as far as CPU and memory. And don't worry... all CPUs for many years are 64 bit.
