Hello,I'm not sure if this was mentioned here before but there is an incredibly beautiful movie available on Hulu{free}that's a little over an hr long that paints a stunning picture of the history and making of Van Nuys airport, currently the busiest GA airport in the world in Southern Cal.

The movie is one of the most beautifully filmed I've ever seen,Anyone who likes aviation will truly LOVE this movie. check it out here.....

Yea, that is a great movie. . .as Aviation documentaries go it is a classic and one I think everyone who has aviation in their blood should own. I bought mine a few years ago and watched it over and over again, lol. . .then I lent it to my boss at the time and never got it back, lol

Haha,Sorry! I didn't know that it's been around awhile,I thought I discoverd something new! lol:icon_lol:

Not to worry Boom, something as terrific as this movie. . .doesn't hurt to promote it every once in a while, lol.

I don't have the particulars, but after this movie was done, the producer made contact with the Blue Angels (it had been a dream of his to fly with them) and over a period of time it was arranged for him to fly with them. I believe he did a small documentary film on that as well. I watched it once and just remembered that it was very well done with some great in cockpit footage and background on the Team.

On my west coast trips I alwas left on Satudays and and spent Sundays at Van Nuys airport. Got to meet some really great people and got a lot of different kinds of rides. This was before 9/11 and security closed all that down.

My problem is I go to Hulu to watch this and I get sucked into one of the older TV shows I used to watch when i was young, LOL.

I know. Watching the first season (best IMHO) of "Airwolf", yet again. So 1980's TV fluffiness. :icon_lol:
Amazing to see how much of that show was filmed at Van Nuys Airport.
Especially the hangars used for "Santini Air" locations.

"One Six Right" is a great movie, thoroughly enjoyed it. For those who can, enjoy Hulu while you can, it may become a pay site as it is a big money loser.

Hulu...effin' location Nazis. Not even a proxy helps. :(

Seen "16R" before though. Interesting, touching and great images!
