Hey guys,
Ever wonder how you open up these apple computers?
Being into design, such as product design, packaging, etc, it intriques me that such a firm can design cases that have no screws or latches, etc, for opening their computers up. Some might find it offensive in that it deters some from opening theirs up. I find it pretty wild, like Alien technology, that you can actually do this. The iPhone for instance, has no visible way of taking it apart, yet you can take it apart quite easily. Same with the new 24inch iMac UniBody. No screws on the back! But if you take suction cup handles and pry the glass of, (its held on by glued on magnets), you then have full access to the interior and parts of the computer.
I recently got a family member the Mac Mini, a strange little cube made of Alum and white plexi. The thing is an entire Desktop computer and will fit in a womans purse. Wild design, but simple, as its mearly a laptop with its parts placed in a verticle stack, delicately fitted onto a unique chassis that is covered with a neat little casing.
Well..... For those that would like to see whats in an Apple and how they are taken apart, you can go here; http://www.ifixit.com/Guide and click on the Mac section, or you can google Mac and iMac and iPhone and iPod disassembly. Youll find tons of YouTube videos and repair guides that will show you how its done.
Funny how the Mac Mini takes a basic paint scraper to flip the inner retainer clamps in order to slide the cover casing off. Easier then a screwdriver, lol...
<--- owned a couple of Chinese puzzles when I was a kid...
