Orbx FTX: NA Blue USA/Canada Pacific Fjords Available for Pre-Pay

I got this mail telling me that the next available area to be covered by Orbx team´s magic hands will be Pacific Fjords and it is available for pre-pay. The wait is soon over =)

I'm not interested in this area too much... I wish they would go south and east before they expand north. I was hoping to see northern rockies up next.

I'm sure it'll be great though! :salute:

Eh who am I kidding, I like bush flying too much to skip this one.

A little pricey for me...I have all the other PNW scenery...might not do it until next year. I sure do love the PNW series-WOW!

Couldn't find a link on the Orbx site about it.
Guess some of us aren't preferred customers... :icon_lol:
(I'm waiting for the Northern Rockies where I grew up anyway.)

Here's their web page for it.

I particularly like the Google Earth app that shows the coverage. It's basically between the PNW up to Tongass Fjords. It also shows all the airfields, etc.

Thanks! Probably just an error between the operator and keyboard earlier. :wavey:

EDIT: Eeep! Boy, I shouldn't have looked at the PFJ website first.
Shouldn't have opened that Google Earth .KMZ file...
Darn it, Orbx, how dare you start the first screenshot with a Helipad! LOL!
:icon_lol:

Tough choices now that I have a vid card that can handle these sceneries, finally.
I do love flying that corridor into Tongass, and upper British Columbia.
But they are including the 5 valleys around the Missoula area where I grew up, in the Northern Rockies release I see.
Got to figure out a way to swing getting both! LOL!:icon_lol:

lol and they have the Southern Rockies, Northern CA, and eventually Socal on the to do list :jump: Also looks like NZ is on the to do list. Better start saving the pennies lol.

Cheers

I didn't know they're going to do NZ as well. I still have FS9 reinstalled on this box, but haven't installed all the scenery I had originally. I always liked flying into Queenstown add on I had. To have an FTX Queenstown to fly into for FSX would be great.

bleh.

More beautiful, accurate scenery. More enhanced airports.

Back in my day, we were HAPPY to fly around in scenery that had little relation to reality! Pixel-lated ground was all right for us, and we liked it!

I only go as far back as the green pyramid mountains. Although, I do remember thinking how cool it would be if they could make the airplane's windows transparent!

My first flight simulator was the subLOGIC FS1 for my Apple II back in 1981. This was before Microsoft got involved. I only flew a few times and quit. My joystick was not self-centering so I kept crashing.

Fantastic though it looks...........

Hi Folks

Resistance is futile...
Well I've succeeded so far............... :icon_lol:

And will continue to do so
until OrbX learn to code installers
capable of handling locations other than FSX root. :banghead:

I used FS1 in high school on the math teacher's Apple ][. We didn't have a joystick, but managed to do a few touch-n-gos without crashing.
