• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

ORBX new libraries and fix

Roger

Senior Administrator
ORBX have posted a new libraries download with a fix for those with lc issues and morphing textures. Check release announcements on their site.

Thanks Roger! Anybody tried the migration process again? I confess that i´m afraid to do that

I started FTX Central and let it update itself. Then I closed it and downloaded and installed the new libraries (from FTX site). Once that install was done, I started FTX Central again, and it started the migration process automatically before opening fully. Took a few minutes. Once done, I closed FTX Central again and ran the troubleshooter to check on the migration. It showed all files migrated successfully. Haven't had a chance to fly yet, but that is at least a good sign.

I had no problem with the original migration, however. But, since then, I've installed the new v3.3.5 version of P3D from scratch and most of the rest of my Orbx products, including AU and NZSI, which I knew caused some problems. So, I was a bit worried. It seems that all went well, however. I'll test it out in sim tomorrow.

There is a Migration Tool you can run after doing the migration to see if everything migrated as they were suppose to to .

In my setup it's located in the Migration folder : F:\Prepar3D v3\ORBX\Troubleshooter\MigrationTroubleshooter.exe . I ran it without any problems and all my ORBX were shown in green text . Anything in red is either not loaded in your setup or there was a problem migrating it over .

Late entry : Just saw this was mentioned prior to my post . Sorry for the repeat
