The Japanese are re-enforcing there troops at Ormac with a convoy with ammunition and more troops. On November 9,1944 P-38's attack but do not stop it.The convoy makes into the harbor at Ormac and start unloading that night. By morning the ships are except Kinka Maru have finished unloading and are headed back to Manila. Kinka Maru is still docked and unloading when word comes that US planes are headed their way.
8:00 the first or 32 B-25J's takeoff from Morotai in the Southern Philippines and arrive at Ormac Bay 11:34 and attack. Some of the ships are already out to sea and to far away to attack because of lack of fuel. After it was over 3 large IJN Transports were sunk and 2smaller Transports and Destroyes were damaged.
