Osprey down

News came out late last night that a US Marines Osprey crashed off the Queensland coast. 22 Marines were rescued but 3 Marines are listed as missing. One Marine was flown to a mainland hospital with a broken leg.

Apparently the crash occurred soon after launch from an aircraft carrier. They had been taking part in a joint Australia/US exercise at Shoalwater Bay in Queensland.

Apparently it was attempting to land on an accompanying Transport, when things went wrong....plane and bodies have been recovered.
