I took a day-trip on Saturday up to Boeing Field in Seattle. A friend of mine had free passes to the Museum of Flight, which is not to be missed if you're a plane nut. I put up my first Flickr set yesterday. Check it out if you're interested.

Yeah, I went up there a little over 6 months ago after not being there for YEARS. I was VERY happy and surprised to see the WWII and WWI sections of the musuem. The WWII part was absolutely amazing and I got to see many of the airplanes I loved since I was a child, including a very nice P-38.
If you live in these parts, make sure to take a trip down to the Evergreen Air Musuem as well, which contains the Spruce Goose. The Goose itself is a bit of a letdown, but the musuem itself is awe inspiring. Many of the WWII planes in that musuem I had an opportunity to climb around in a couple of years before the museum was finished being built. I got unadulterated access to most of them. Got in the B-17 cabin, unlocked the controls and played a bit. Same with their P-51 Mustang. Closed the canopy up and just soaked it all in.
BTW, Mr. Womack, since you live in the area, make sure to take a trip to that musuem in Hood River. They have the a Curtis Jenny there that they fly with the #1 serial number. Everything in the musuem is flown and is in superb condition.
