Considering MS "Flight" gives you the Big Island. . . .This was a lot more impressive. Well worth following to see where this goes.:applause:

Flight has Hawaii for free I think. For this you have to pay. I saw this vid a few days ago and I was impressed too. Looks like a nice way to chill out and explore stunning Switzerland!

What version is this and how much does it cost? I went to the website, but it all looks like RC stuff. There are so many versions it is hard to tell which is which.

Its AeroflyFS you want, for 40 euros, dont get it confused with the aerofly5 RC sim!! if you search for aeroflyFS it'll show :)

It isn't in the Shop USA section, but you can get it in the Shop International section, and it says it ships anywhere in the world. I haven't tried completing the form to see how much shipping is though, or if there is VAT or any other lovely surprises.

(EDIT) - tried putting it in the cart, shows 3% discount for internet order (38,79€), 5,50€ shipping (didn't tell it where), and 6,19€ tax, then showed total of 44,29€ total (which didn't have the tax included, so I'm assuming it is only added depending on the destination).

The 39.99€ base price tag is inclusive VAT as always in German shops (always inclusive if not explicitely stated otherwise).
VAT is only substracted for downloads when "shipped" to countries outside the EURO countries.
A CD box is a physical good so VAT always applies, regardless of the destination country, whereas a download runs under "other services".
You gotta love the German/European tax law.

Reading this from their forums...

Aerofly FS will be available soon direct from IKARUS USA. You can either call or order via the web shop at www.ikarus.net. Aerofly FS is already translated into English, we just need to translate the manual and packaging.

So expect to be able to buy Aerofly FS in the USA in February.

From IPACS Support.

From reading thru their forums, they are serious about flight dynamics and visual realism. Interesting read about the Extra 330LX.

Pity than only dvd version. Little strange in our time....
Not when you consider this is a "sim" (or at least the early makings of one) and not just a scenery download. This is one case where I would much rather have the DVD than just a download that I might lose to a HDD crash at some point.:salute:

Only Oahu Island is free, you have to buy the rest of Hawaii.
