OT: Another loss

It seems our family has had a ruff go of it lately. We lost a part of our family this past week that I know some of you with a passion for aviation can appreciate.

Capt. Marvel Domke died at age 87 on Jan 10th 2010. He was a B-24 pilot and lead plane for 30 missions over Germany during WWII for the 446bg.

At his funeral the last remaining crew member was there and spoke of the war and what they had gone through.

Thank you for sharing this Headwind. The Captain's story was a great read. He showed courage, tenacity, and great leadership. He sounded like on heck of a guy to fly with and certainly cared about his squadron and crew.
