OT: Exceptional Howard 500 Video

Bomber_12th

SOH-CM-2025
I posted this over in the FS2004 forum, but I thought I'd post it here too for everyone who are fans of this aircraf type.

Tony Phillippi, who owns the Howard 500 N500HP, also finally now has his second Howard 500, N500LN, back in the US, after having been based in Europe for a number of years. Here is some superb footage, some of it showing both Howards flying together over Minnesota (where both are based). Tony is one of the rare guys who travels all over the place with his vintage aircraft, just for fun, and that really shows in this video (I've heard he takes his HU-16 Albatross up to Canada on regular fishing trips!).

There are some funny stories surrounding these aircraft, due to the lack of knowledge of the type, and the amazing speeds they attain, fooling ATC as being executive jets on radar. I've seen N500HP at a few local shows over the years, and I recall at one particular show, it ended up lapping the Mustangs, Spitfire, and P-40 that were cruising along through the display circuit with it.

Prety neat if you ask me one of those planes like the DC3 that could be done better for FSX

You mean this one...

Amazing! Thank you so much for this John!

TuFun, I love your riveting work. I remember you posting about this. Was it completed?

Just to make it clear just a collection of repaints package from Come-Central.net in my virtual hangar.

WoW! Impressive sight and awesome job!

Are these with the rivets, bump mapping and all!

Only the TP Howard which I'm working on at the moment. It's Milton's Howard FS9 updated model flown in FSX. One basic cargo and the beautiful TP Howard.

Those paints will need to be modified to work on this model.

Brilliant stuff!

Are you going to upload N500HP at some point here for others to enjoy your amazing talents?
Keep up the great work!
