Its amazing to see how the sim has evolved since 1998. I have not tried the latest BMS yet, but watch the release trailer below.

Well... this is an outstanding piece of work !...
Though I know this sim from the first day it was out, I have never
installed it on my pc, not even once.
But this trailer makes me wonder... Seems an Excellent job for a
free in practise simulator.

I tried reinstalling F 4.0 + BMS about a year ago but it seemed it does not work for Nvidia cards - is that correct? Or maybe it was Windows 7?

It has literally been years since I flew Falcon. This looks amazing. Where and how does one get this?

If you have a copy of the original Falcon 4.0, simply register at their forums (http://www.bmsforum.org/) and look for the announcement thread (it's a torrent download).

If you do not have a copy, grab the falcon collection at gog.com (10 USD), as it comes with one.

Oh My Gosh! It's been more than a few years since I cracked open this one. I had no idea all the advancements they've put into this. Are all the planes shown flyable, naval and air force? Never mind, it says so in the video. Wow! One question though, is this all a self contained patch for one large update or much like FSX, where one must install various upgrades to achieve high realism graphically?

Thanks for sharing this. It's everything they're striving hard to achieve in DCS, with an engine that's every bit of 15 years old or more. Superb work.

DCS flight dynamic are quite a lot better, in my opinion.

Plus, all flyable fighters in BMS use F-16 avionics and hud symbology, so they're really just mods.

BMS is a single package, yes.

It works with my nvidia card and my Win7.

The night carrier landing is a challenge, the screen is about 99% black.

Clouds and quite nice now, too.

I always thought F4 was a pretty good simulator simply because it is a challenge to land that thing w/o breaking something.

Wow.... the last one I used was Allied Force

Same here... The new Falcon looks immense, probably need a super computer to get the smooth graphic transitions as seen in the trailer. I have a Jetline Solo 900, I wonder how that machine would run the sim...

Very tight envelope I recall, yes . . For some reason also I remember the "K" key stroke (out of all the dozens of others I could never keep in my head) was for braking - if you were still rolling . .

Showoff! Kidding, great looking shot Zsolt! Amazing how your shots always grab my attention because you capture the right feeling of action, if that makes sense. Truly looks like something you've grabbed out of a modified FSX shot. The weekend can't get here fast enough to try this out....now to convince the girlfriend to not come over for a day...or two.
