After seeing my video of a B-24 pilot's hairiest mission, a F-105 pilot has asked me to make a video of one of his missions. I'll be using Virtavia's F-105 model in the post-mission configuration. I will build a model of the ordinance load-out, using Gmax, which will be set-up as a separate model. Then using the playback of a FSRecorder flight file, I'll have the F-105 and ordinance fly in close formation so that it looks like the plane is actually carrying the weapons. An animation will be built into the ordinance model to simulate the dropping of the ordinance. The explosion effect will be added in post-production.
My question to the community - Does anyone know of an internet source for USAF ordinance drawings or blueprints. Specifically I'm looking for BLU-27 napalm canisters. I've been able to find plans for missles, rockets, dumb and smart bombs, but no Napalm canisters. I have some photos, but a proper profile with some dimensions is what I'm looking for.
