OT: Mushy Ford Brakes

Anyone that has or has had a Ford F-150 will tell you, the brake pedal travel is way too loose and double pumping the pedal when coming to a stop is not uncommon. I have a F-150 Supercrew and a Ford Freestar and anyone that has ever driven them has commented about how bad the brakes feel. I had become so conditioned to it that I really hadn't given it a second thought. That is until our van was backed into last summer and needed to have body work done. We were given a Chevy Yukon as a loaner. Had it not been for having been belted in I think me and the wife would have went through the windshield the first time I used the brakes.
Today, while trolling a F-150 forum, I came across a simple fix for the problem I plan to implement on both my vehicles. The thread I found was started 2 years so the fix has been time tested. It involves an adjustment of the brake booster push rod and takes less than a half hour to do. Now, if you go you your Ford dealer and complain about the mushy feeling of the brakes, they will most likely tell you it is what it is and the official policy of Ford is not to touch it. Needless to say this does not sit well with people.
Anyway, I thought I would post a link to the thread for Ford owners here that have always thought there was something wrong with the pedal travel on their vehicles and were told that it was normal by the dealer. I say Ford owners but I can only speak as an owner of the aforementioned vehicles as I have not driven many other models.

Fix procedures can be found here. Link
It is a long thread and if you intend on doing the repairs I would suggest reading all of it.
